Teddy Roosevelt Terriers are somewhat larger dogs than Toy Fox Terriers, ranging from 8-15 inches at the withers and from about 12 to 25 pounds. Teddies are longer than they are tall, with a roughly 10:7 ratio. Their legs make up only about 40% (or less) of their height. Like Toy Fox Terriers, Teddies have short, glossy coats. Unlike TFTs, they come in a wide variety of colors, and several patterns. Teddies are generally laid back and can be fairly easy-going with both people and with other dogs. The Teddies here are also very good with our cats and our chickens, but they should never be trusted with rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, or other small pets of that nature. They are very good ratters with a moderately high prey and are quick to sound an alarm when things are not quite right.
Merci beaucoup!
